Description

These golden-brown pizza rolls offer a delightful combination of savory flavors and satisfying textures. A crisp exterior gives way to a soft, warm dough, encasing a generous filling of melted mozzarella and flavorful beef pepperoni. Each roll is seasoned with a sprinkle of Parmesan and fresh parsley, creating an inviting aroma. Prepared in an air fryer, they achieve a perfectly crisp finish, ideal for dipping into your favorite marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb store-bought pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce, plus more for dipping
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced beef pepperoni (or turkey pepperoni)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease the air fryer basket or line with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, approximately 1/4-inch thick.
  3. Spread the 1/2 cup marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the beef pepperoni slices.
  5. Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log.
  6. Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 8-10 equal pieces, about 1 to 1.5 inches thick.
  7. Brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and dried oregano.
  8. Place the rolls in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch. You may need to cook in batches.
  9. Air fry for 8-12 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly, flipping halfway through if necessary for even browning.
  10. Carefully remove the pizza rolls from the air fryer. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh chopped parsley.
  11. Serve immediately with extra marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Ensure your pizza dough is at room temperature before rolling for easier handling.

Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches to ensure even crisping.

For a different flavor profile, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling.

Leftover pizza rolls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
