  • 1 pound store-bought pizza dough, at room temperature
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley, plus more for garnish
  • 2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a large baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, approximately 10×14 inches.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Brush the entire surface of the rolled-out dough with the garlic butter mixture, reserving about 1 tablespoon for later.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the buttered dough, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Carefully transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned in spots.
  8. Once out of the oven, brush the remaining garlic butter over the hot cheese sticks and sprinkle with additional dried parsley, if desired.
